RedRover

Since 1987, RedRover has been committed to bringing animals from crisis to care and strengthening the human-animal bond. Founded in Sacramento, California, RedRover stands out from others with its volunteer-driven RedRover Responders Program.

The Responders Program has been providing temporary shelter and care for animals displaced by natural disasters across the United States and Canada since 2005. Through this program, 435 EARS volunteers have cared for over 2,100 animals with love and compassion.

RedRover is a pet charity whose staff and volunteers provide love and understanding when animals and people are in need, crisis, and pain. Red Rover brings animals out of crisis and then work to discover new ways to strengthen the common bond between people and animals. They do this through RedRover Responders who provide shelter and care for animals displaced by natural disasters and other crises in the United States and Canada.

Another program, RedRover Readers, is a unique community-based literacy program that helps children understand the bond between people and animals through the use of stories and discussion.

RedRover Relief provides financial assistance and emotional support to pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in need of urgent emergency veterinary care, as well as support and resources to help victims of domestic violence escape their abusive environments with their pets.
